David Carmack Lewis — Paintings

[Older Work]

African Rooms 1998-1999

Other work: speaking in hands | unknown arcana

These are paintings I did while trying to make enough money to go to Namibia to be be with Kristi Jo, my wife to be. She had joined the Peace Corps and it was high time for me to get out of Phoenix, Arizona. So in the mean time I obsessed about african wildlife and the cage-like room in which I continued to live.
